Meet The Owner

Gennetta Nelson, BSN, RN

Owner/Operator Guardian Community Care,LLC

Gennetta Nelson’s passion to care for others started by watching her grandmother, who was also a nurse, and following in her footsteps. After her grandmother passed away in 2016, Ms. Nelson felt a strong desire to start a home health care agency to care for patients like her grandmother who needed in home care before her passing. Ms. Nelson’s grandmother became her guardian angel which is represented in the name and logo of her home health care agency. She has dedicated her life to providing medical care to others, and with no end in sight she is looking forward to providing compassionate care to increase the quality of life to all patients with services that exceed industry standards for a very long time.

Gennetta Nelson BSN,RN is the owner and operator of Guardian Community Care. She began her career in the medical field as a Certified Nursing Assistant while attending high school at Hill Side High School in Durham, North Carolina. She continued working in the medical field at REX hospital while obtaining her Business Administration degree in 2009. Ms. Nelson started attending Barton College in Wilson, North Carolina in 2012 and graduated as a Registered Nurse with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2014. She has sharpened her nursing skills by working as a staff nurse in the hospital on various units, as a community health nurse at a community health center, at a pharmaceutical company as a consultant nurse, a home health care nurse, a school base public health nurse, and now the owner and operator of her own home health care agency. She truly stands on her company’s motto, “We put our hearts in your care”.
